Born on the 25th of January 1976 in Heerlen Netherlands. After studying in Eindhoven at the Fontys and later the Technical University (concluded with a Master degree in Information Technology) Barend moved to Zeeland. Personal

Barend biggest passions are his wife Brigitte who he married november 2006, deep sea diving and travelling the world with recent locations as India, Vietnam, Australia, Mexico, France, Norway, Italy and Turkey.

Barend is a PADI divemaster and now assosiated as a board member of the with the Wreck dive foundation WDSR. In 2008 I decided to switch to a different dive system educated by GUE.
